Worst Product Worst Service Awards 2011

Industry and business associations, annually announce awards for the best staff and product performance. This is done to recognize and reward good performance.

CGSI has nothing against this practice. However we feel that the flipside of this i.e. the consumer experience, should also be identified and presented to the industry. This would help the Industry to take concrete steps to rectify or improve the product/service for the consumer.

CGSI received more than 4000 consumer complaints in 2011, from a cross-section of society, about products and services. These gullible and innocent consumers were cheated, sold defective goods, provided with no service and treated with disdain, once they paid the money.

CGSI invites you to participate in this survey and nominate the service or product that is the worst that you have encountered in 2011.

The objectives of this survey are:
  • To provide consumers a forum to vent grievances against products/services which fall short on delivery after making grand promises.
  • To provide valuable consumer insights to industry / service providers. This in turn, can help them focus on improving on the areas of concern, from the consumers' perspective.
